A few Japanese soldiers one day found a case of cheese in a British Military Store in Singapore. Mistaking it for soap,they began to wash their dirty clothes with it and were surprised not to see any lather forthcoming. An Indian passer-by pointed out to them their error.

Amusing Sidelights On Japanese OccupationOne hot day,four Japanese soldiers while walking through a coconut grove wished to taste some tender coconuts and as none of them could climb a tree,they solved the problem by chopping down a whole tree and thus quenched their thirst.
